Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka is an American-British musician and sitarist. She was first of her generation to be a member of the British House of Commons Staff. Anoushka Sitar Shankar was the Indian young sitar star. She is a student and daughter to Ravi Shankar. She was born in 1982 in London. Her childhood years included a period of time in London as well as New Delhi. When she arrived in New Delhi, she made her first appearance at only 13 years of age. In the following years she moved to Encinitas CA she attended high school, graduating with distinction in 1999. Anouskha is yet to be a mature woman however she's got an amazing career in music and performance. For a long time she regularly performs with her father. She released Anourag her first album solo in 1998. The following year, she released the Grammy nomination-winning Live at Carnegie Hall. Apart from performing in all of the largest venues and venues, she also has an extensive stage presence. Anoushka isn't only a singer. Bapi The of My Life of My Live is her 2002 book, which is a tribute to Ravi Shankar. In addition, she acted in a movie in 2003. The role she played was that of as a Bharat Natyam dancer in Dance Like a Man. Anoushka's career is still developing and she is expected to do many great things in the future. Anoushka Shakar was born in England spent a large part of her life between London Delhi. After moving to California she finished the high school. She began learning music at age 9 and played the sitar for the 75th anniversary of her father's birth in Delhi just four years after. Anoushka was able to gain a great deal of knowledge by traveling around the globe along with her father. She played in Carnegie Hall in her teenage years, and recorded at George Harrison's WOMAD Festival. She was the youngest and sole female winner of the House of Commons Shield awarded by British Parliament in recognition of her talent and musical ability as a preeminent musician of music in Asian Arts.
